Foundation NOX
Foundation NOX has been established by the Nijmegen artists, Jan-Wieger van den Berg and Corrie Kuijs. Foundation NOX is focused on the development and supervision of (educational) projects in the field of art design, architecture, culture-history, town-building and landscape-architecture, with the following goal: “Proceeding from their visual expertise, bring into action new media and aesthetic solutions that reach the general public.”
The development and composition of ‘Young Architects’ was their first combined project. The publication ‘Town-gates Revisited’ and the exhibition on ‘Snelbinder’, a road for pedestrians and cyclists over the Waal-bridge, are the follow-up (all projects by order of the municipality Nijmegen).
New projects:
Literary beacons created (poetry in several locations in town) by the working-group Literary 2000. Creating the gift of the province of Gelderland to the municipality Nijmegen on the occasion of the 2000th anniversary of the town: an information-table about the fortress-history of Nijmegen.
